The longest [bungie jump] from a tower was made in 1998 from the Skytower by A. J. Hackett. Watched live by an estimated crowd of 20,000 people on New Zealand television and around the world on the Internet, it took only eight seconds for A. J. Hackett to leap 92 metres off a platform attached to Auckland's Skytower.
