Horseback Ride

One of the first things we did upon arriving in Cairns was to go on a little horseback ride through the rain forest. The outfitter, Blazing Saddles, seems to take better care of their horses than most outfitters. How about this: Even though the horses have to go on one or two multiple-hour rides in high heat and humidity, they are lucky in one respect. Every five weeks they get to take two week vacations on a 40-acre horse farm. What's that? Fifteen weeks of vacation a year? But they don't get Sundays off.
